How to Record a Zoom Meeting Without Permission?

Zoom Meeting hosts may allow or disallow you to record the meeting at their own discretion. While Zoom does provide you with tools to record meetings, you won’t be able to use them if the meeting host has blocked your recording ability.

This doesn’t mean that you cannot record a Zoom meeting without permission. You just won’t be able to do it from the desktop client or the mobile app. You will have to use third-party screen recording applications like Apeaksoft Screen Recorder. You can find plenty of other screen recording software out there, so do your research.

Screen recording on iOS

If you have an Apple mobile device with iOS 11 and up, then you will be able to record the meeting via the iOS Screen Recording feature. To access this feature, you need to add its shortcut to your device’s control panel by navigating to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls. Locate Screen Recording and tap on the green plus to add it to the control panel.

Then, once the Zoom app is up and the meeting is going, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the control panel and press the screen recording button. The recording will start after a 3-second countdown. After you’re done recording, tap again on the screen recording button to stop.

On older iOS versions, you may use third-party screen recorder apps from the App Store.

  8. In the Developer options menu, choose Feature flags.
